I can't embed the actual music video so here is a link to the video on youtube (copy and paste >_<): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQSxwzOngMU

This is one of my absolute favorite music videos and this is because it was inspired by the silent short film created by George Méliès "La Voyage Dans La Lune" (A Trip to the Moon) that I vividly remember watching on PBS when I was a kid.

IV. Hoedown from "Rodeo"

composed by Aaron Copland

BEEF, IT'S WHAT'S FOR DINNER.... what?! I had to say it!

Improvisation sur les Folies

composed Marin Marais
from the film "Tous Les Matins du Monde"

Marche pour la cérémonie des Turcs

by Jean-Baptiste Lully
in the film "Tous Les Matins Du Monde"
(All the Mornings of the World)

Fascinating fact about this piece's composer, Jean-Baptiste Lully: He was keeping time by banging a long staff (like in the clip above) against the floor and accidentally struck his toe, creating an abscess. Gangrene set in but Lully refused to have his toe amputated and the gangrene spread and lead to his death. Moral of the story: Wear steel-toed shoes while conducting ^_^
